After the wants and needs analysis exercise in class, I set up a meeting with my instructor (Trent Hill) from LIS 537.

Background and Purpose

Although not a required activity for the course, I thought it might be a good idea to talk to the major stakeholder since we were already planning an Independent Study for the summer where I would actually implement the redesign of the TiddlyWiki Thesaurus. The results of this interview helped our team focus on the fact that the TWT would be an education tool. It would need to teach students, as well as enable them to more easily construct a thesaurus.


I ran a very informal interview session where Trent and I talked about his intentions for the redesign, and the features and behavior he expected for the application. While we talked, I took notes.
